They produce semiconductors of appointed materials. Their resistance has to be somewhere among that of a conductor and a non-conductor. Variations of temperature or the part of dashes also change the resistance.
The term “dashes” stands for the other elements added to the material. The final combination labels the semi-conductors as thyristors of type-n and type-t.
They produce diodes as well as transistors combining these variants of semi-conductors. Usually silicon is applied to make semiconductors these days.
In order to keep the flow of electrical current in simply one direction diodes are used. They are made of semiconductor substance. There is a layer of (positive) combination, - (negative) combination and so-called pn-transfer appointed as barrier level in every diode. Electrical circuits which transform among alternating and direct electrical current are made applying diodes. As diodes make current flow only in a single direction only a part of the period or cycle is fulfilled. A combination of this kind is fixed as a rectifier.
LED (light diodes) is one more kind of diodes. Such diodes are applied in case it’s important to generate light at little voltages and at the same time make no heat. Today specialists apply LED diodes as the light signaling the standby state of different electronic equipment.
The development of thyristors industry was started by Moore’s law. Lithography is the main side of producing different power semi-conductor devices at smaller cost. For optical lithography is already actual no more, there’s now a search for other technologies. It is now quickly being replaced by more contemporary ultraviolet lithography and nano-imprint lithography. There are more prospective methods. For example x-ray lithography and electron beam lithography today. In Russia igbt modules were invented. People apply those sensors to complete various things in any conditions. The sensors meet their use in business, manufacture and daily applications. The shape and value of the current sensor can be different according to the kind of device. And the sensors can be small (as in several light detectors) or complicated (detectors that signal radiation motion).
Alone the igbt sensor won’t be useful. The power system dispatchers are made to provide supervisory control over numerous operations like opening or closing circuit breakers in subordinate station, controlling voltage, frequency, power flow and other system parameters, changing the scheduled interchange of power between the adjacent power systems, monitoring and reacting to various system signals.
For the controllers to complete these functions they must have a full information of the whole power system delivered from the displays of PCs in different dependent stations. The status of CB’s, fuses holders, analog values and isolators or other variations of subordinate station level data acquisition was 1st captured in the RTU. The greatest success in export is the prerogative of Russian Federation and China.
